How we work

We are most productive, when we are at our well-equipped workstation. We understand our productivity as your benefit. Therefore, we do our work from our office whenever possible. 

Only few situations require our presence on site. If such situations occur, we will be there. But only then. Most of the time, we will provide our service remotely. To safe your and our time and work on results. 

We don’t want to come to your office just to present ourselves. We mitigate meetings whenever we can. Our strengths and productivity sources from straight communication and the focus on results. 

We keep that communication asynchronous whenever possible, to allow you to work on the shared topic, when it suits you best. 

Whenever indicated, we switch to synchronous communication and join an online-meeting, scheduled call or simply have a chat, to move a certain topic forward.

Anamnesis

Like a doctor, who will not start any treatment before having understood your concerns, our first actions are aimed to understand your trouble as well as your possibilities. We will collect the relevant information in an interview and provide you with the summary, to double check if we got things right. While we have a structured approach for the interviews and templates to assure, we cover all relevant points, you will not need to fill questionnaire and forms.

Strategy

Based on the delivered input, we will define a strategy to tackle your troubles and to resolve them. We will share the strategy with you and enrich it with drafts and sketches where we feel it is important to get a good understanding of the advised result. Again, your feedback will be required, to assure that we are alligned on the result and the way to achieve it.

Implementation

The agreed strategy will be the base for all actions during the implementation. Usually we will not have all details to finish the task and the implementation phase will start with collecting details, reverse engineer existing systems and organizing data. Whenever possible, we will provide you with a proof of concept and setup things in parallel to existing solutions. As a last step, we will assure a smooth transition to the newly created systems or situation for you and your teams and provide you with runbooks, and documentation to takeover the operations.

Who we are

We started our journey in Information Technology at a time where the Microsofts Operation System was MS-DOS, Screens used to have two colours and Windows was only one of many applications. As members of the micro generation that learned typing on typewriters in Middle School and moving over to personal desktop clients in Highschool we understood quite early in life, that technology expertice is a key to a high productivity – and that it can only be achieved by continiosly learning and upgrading our skills.

From the moment we entered the active workforce, we were involved in driving technology based change in traditonal industries. On our quest for deeper expertise, we took a significant step forward by joining one of the worlds leading software companies in 2005 & 2007.

Since then, we grew our technology expertise by countless trainings, courses and lessons that allowed us to successfully fill different roles in tech companies and specialised teams in different industries. 

While some may feel uncomfortable with permanent change, we understand ourselves as technology enthusiasts, enjoying new technologies and embrace each and every opportunity to master the next level. 

While we accumulated expertise in many techonogies without having it certified, a lot of our technology expertise is certified. Starting with the touch typing certificate earned in middle school – we know, that’s not relevant to you, like a lot of the certificates we collected since then – we achieved proven expertise for different technologies, including Network Technology (CCNA), Operation Systems and Applications (Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist) and are active members on different training portals, with numerous awarded trophies and batches.

Even before digitalization, there were a large number of different project management frameworks.

Due to the mapping of the different project management methods in digital tools and the degree of adaptation of both frameworks and digital tools that varies from company to company, there are probably as many project management methods as there are companies.

Against this background, it seems almost presumptuous to call oneself a project expert in general. We do it anyway. The basis for this is the fact that we were forced to deal with a considerable number of project management methods due to our involvement in projects of all sizes in a large number of different companies.

Accordingly, our expertise extends to both classic methods that are based on a controlled environment and the possibility of a clearly defined result even before the start of the project. But also on methods that take into account the fact that a controlled environment is often only given to a limited extent and that the goals of the project can change during an ongoing project due to different factors. In our observation, the success of a project usually has very little to do with the chosen project management method or the tools used to implement it.

Often, project participants outside the project management team lack specific knowledge about the method used, as well as how to use the tools. Projects using traditional methods are often not adapted to changing conditions and new requirements. In modern, agile projects, there is often a lack of understanding of operational requirements, which often leads to problems with relevant requirements for compliance with certifications and accreditations.

In addition to our experience in the design of different tools for the successful mapping of project processes and requirements, we not only know how to impart the necessary knowledge to project participants in order to be able to act successfully in the respective project and operate the necessary tools.

We also specialize in bringing order to all projects that are too agile or the necessary degree of flexibility in classically managed projects.

By definition, a process is a series of actions or steps taken in order to achieve a particular end… which is a pretty universal and we are not experts for every scenario that fits the definition.

However, we will adapt the level of detail and form of both to your companies’ specific needs. A customer is a customer isn’t true. Of course, there are huge differences between private and business customers and company internal customers are again a different topic.
