Yesterday the Élysée reported that Microsoft announced the investment of 4 billion Euro to support the evolvement of the French economy towards AI-based services.

The investment is not only the largest investment of its kind in France, it also significantly exceeds the investments already announced in other European countries earlier this year (e.g. Germany 3.3 billion).
The investment will be used to extend the Microsoft owned infrastructures in France, including the data centres in Paris and Marseille. Further, parts of the investment will be spent on trainings for one million French Employees and 2.500 French startups to drive the implementation of the evolving technologies into French businesses.
